Another upgrade with iPad 10 is the switch to USB-C. Apple hasn’t detailed in its tech specs whether it’s USB 3.1 Gen 2 for the iPad 10 like iPad Air uses, we’ll have to wait and see.
9th is a good value for the money, 10th is a bad value for the money. The apple refurbished iPad Air 4th gen is a much better device for not much more money than a 10th gen if you want something else besides the 9th gen. The 10th is currently on sale for $399 and the 9th for $269. Its a little over $100 difference.

Apple released the 5th generation iPad in March 2017 and the 7th generation iPad in September 2019. The iPad (7th gen) features a slightly larger display, at 10.2” versus the 9.7” display on the iPad (5th gen).
