The clogged catalytic converter could cause the car jerks when accelerating. If the catalytic converter is dirty and not working efficiently, try to use the catalytic converter cleaners. Otherwise, you need to change your catalytic converter or have your car serviced. 10. Faulty Mass Airflow Sensor. My Mercedes Benz Sprinter no longer accelerate because of the clutch: One of the basic causes of a Mercedes Benz Sprinter not accelerating when hitting the gas pedal, or not moving forward, is that your clutch disc is useless. The fact is, the role of the clutch is to transfer the power from the engine to the gearbox which will then transmit it
As the title suggests, I have a P0400 (along with two or three specific cylinder misfire codes) which is giving me a surging, rough idle and a lack of power at low RPMs. I replaced the plugs, cleaned the MAF and EGR valve and snaked the metal pipe to the rear of the engine, although this was not blocked as I've read about elsewhere. No improvement. There is also a popping sound which may or may not be audible in the video. If you accelerate slowly, it works fine. But if you floor it, there's a 'sucking' sound and it goes silent for about a second and then continues to accelerate. During this process, the lights dim and flicker.

Under normal operation, the fuel and air mixture entering the combustion chamber of your Mercedes-Benz engine ignites. When the fuel/air mixture doesn’t get ignited, one or more cylinders don’t provide any power to turn the engine, which gets detected by the Engine Control Unit (ECU) and triggers an engine misfire code.
