The engine failure hazard and not going above 69mph is the engine going into limp mode. Take it back in to the garage..if it has a dpf/fap filter get them to regen it/or check anyway. I had the exact same prob on a 2011..cost me 250..for reasons Ive covered elsewhere, recreate the conditions again and see if the problem recurs.
